Do you want to change the engine oil on a Yamaha XJ6? Let's look at replacing the oil and filter. Keep the bike on the centre stand and remove the drain plug. Allow all the oil to drain into a disposal container for later disposal. Remove the cartridge filter located at the side of the engine and replace it with a new one. Unscrew the filler cap and top up the engine with new engine oil. After maintenance, check the oil level in the engine using the dipstick. Test the engine's operation in all its parts.
