Before you start, position your Yamaha R1 vertically for easier access to the seat. Begin by moving the end of the seat just enough to reach the securing screws. Then, unscrew and remove the screws you have accessed. This will free the rider's seat. At this point, simply remove the rider's seat from its housing. Once you have completed this last step, you will have finished removing the seat from your Yamaha R1.
