To replace the spark plug on a Yamaha Xmax 400, unscrew the under-seat compartment by removing the five screws visible after lifting the seat. You will then see the spark plug connector, which must be disconnected by hand: insert a socket wrench into the same socket where the connector was, to extract the old spark plug. Once the old spark plug is removed from its housing, insert the new replacement part and reconnect the connector. Finally, remount the under-seat compartment and the seat.
