How do you replace the Yamaha FJR 1300 air filter?

Replacing the air filter on the Yamaha FJR 1300 is done by loosening the screws that fix the saddle, so that the latter can be removed from its housing. After removing the saddle, you will have to loosen the screws that fix the left side panel of the bike, immediately under the saddle: this will allow access to the underlying components. Here, you will have to unscrew the screws that hold the filter box cover, by extracting the latter from its inside. Once the new filter has been inserted, it will be necessary to cover everything again with the cover and the relative side panel of the motorcycle.

Let's find out below the instructions on how to carry out the routine maintenance service, replacing the engine oil and the oil filter, of the Derbi Fds. First of all, we put the stand on our bike and start to drain the engine oil, unscrewing the vent bolt that we find under the engine; let the old oil drain in a container for about ten minutes. At this point we unscrew the filler cap and carry out the new top up; we use the oil with the right characteristics, finally checking the oil level using the dipstick!
