How to install a Plug & Play additional control unit on a Yamaha T-Max 530.

Let's see how easy it is to install this additional control unit on a Yamaha T-Max 530. It's the Xair, specifically built for this type of motorcycle. Since it's plug & play, it's very easy to install because the plugs just need to be connected. We remove the battery cover, locate the plugs, and position them. We attach the control unit with its strap so it doesn't move and place it in its spot inside the compartment. To enter diagnosis mode, we must simultaneously press the two buttons on the instrumentation and turn the key. The "diag" message will appear; we release the buttons and press them again until the D01 message appears. We scroll down to D05, then press the left button; a data will appear above. It's the control unit's registration data. We use a small screwdriver to enter the control unit. We must obtain the lowest possible data from the motorcycle's screen. This way, the control unit is adjusted. We remove the key. We can close the compartment and the job is done.
