Let’s see how easy it is to install this additional control unit on a Yamaha T-Max 530. This is the Xair unit specifically designed for this type of bike. Being plug & play, it is very easy to install as the connectors just need to be plugged in. Remove the battery cover, locate the connectors, and position them. Secure the control unit with its tie so that it does not move and place it inside the compartment. To enter diagnostics, press both buttons on the instrument panel simultaneously and turn the key. The word "diag" will appear; release the buttons and press them again until the display shows D01. Scroll to D05, then press the left button; a data point will appear. This is the registration data of the control unit. Use a small screwdriver to access the control unit. You need to obtain the lowest possible reading from the bike's screen. This way, the control unit is adjusted. Disconnect the key. You can close the compartment, and the job is complete.
