To replace the engine oil of the Yamaha YZF-R3, loosen the drain plug of the oil sump, located at the lower central area of the bike: once this plug is unscrewed, you can collect all the used oil in a suitably positioned container. After the oil has drained out, you can remove the filter located in the front wheel arch and replace it as well. Finally, complete the operation by topping up with the necessary amount of oil, which should be added through the breather on the right side.

How to Check the Coolant Level in a Yamaha Xmax

In the following video, you will learn how to check the coolant level in a 2008 Yamaha Xmax. First, position the motorcycle on a stable surface by raising the stand. Next, lift the cover located at the top of the motorcycle to access the coolant drain bolt. To top up the coolant, unscrew the cap as shown in the video and add the fluid until it reaches the maximum level, indicated as Max. Once finished, close the valve and refit the cover.
