To change the oil of the Yamaha YZF R3, start by lifting the bike with a center stand or a stable surface. First of all, remove the oil filler cap located on the top of the engine to allow for better drainage. Place a tray under the engine and unscrew the oil drain plug with a wrench to drain the used oil. After completely draining the oil, remove the oil filter using a special filter tool, being careful to remove the worn gasket. Replace the filter with a new one, lightly lubricating the gasket with some new oil. Reassemble the drain plug and screw on the new filter. At this point, fill the engine with the oil recommended by the manufacturer and screw on the filler cap. Start the engine for a few seconds, then check the oil level and make sure there are no leaks.
