Let's see how to replace the battery of a Yamaha XMax. With the help of a plastic lever, we remove the plate with the logo located between the two headlights and unscrew the hex key underneath. Now we proceed to unscrew the two screws, with their washers, in a cross shape located on the dashboard on the sides of the two circular instruments. This allows us to remove the central part of the front shield and uncover the battery compartment: already in this way we can proceed with the replacement, if we want to work much more easily we also remove the speedometer cover and the windshield, unscrewing the screws on the sides. Disconnect the battery terminals, unscrew the nut of the mounting bracket and release it, we can then remove the old battery, position the new one by passing the positive pole cable under the plastic cover and reassemble all the parts by proceeding backwards with the operations.

How to change the engine oil of Derbi Fds

Let's find out below the instructions on how to carry out the routine maintenance service, replacing the engine oil and the oil filter, of the Derbi Fds. First of all, we put the stand on our bike and start to drain the engine oil, unscrewing the vent bolt that we find under the engine; let the old oil drain in a container for about ten minutes. At this point we unscrew the filler cap and carry out the new top up; we use the oil with the right characteristics, finally checking the oil level using the dipstick!
