Removing the EGR Valve on Alfa Romeo 146 1.9

In this guide, you will learn how to remove and clean the EGR valve on an Alfa Romeo 156. First, open the bonnet and remove the protective cover held by three screws. Then, unscrew the two bolts securing the EGR valve using a socket spanner; use some penetrating oil if the screws are difficult to remove. Disconnect the pipe attached to the valve and unscrew the four bolts underneath the EGR valve. Carefully extract the valve; at this point, clean it with suitable commercial products and then refit it!
