How to Replace the Thermostat Valve on an Alfa Romeo 147

To replace the thermostat valve on an Alfa Romeo 147, open the bonnet to access the engine bay, remove the cap from the coolant reservoir, and disconnect the hoses at the bottom, collecting the fluid in a container. Next, unscrew the bolts securing the cover on the top of the engine; this will allow access to its side where you can unscrew all the bolts and retaining rings that secure the thermostat valve to the hoses. The old valve can now be removed and replaced with a new spare part.
