Removing the turbo is a task that requires time and patience as it must be taken off complete with the exhaust manifold. Therefore, it is advisable to have a lift or inspection pit and to wait until the engine is completely cold before proceeding. Start in the engine bay by disconnecting the intake and outlet pipes connected to the compressor and the small hoses attached to the boost control valve. Then, access from underneath, disconnect the clamp that secures the catalyst to the turbo and proceed to remove the fastening bolts of the exhaust manifold to complete the disassembly.
