Before starting, we will have to lift the rear of our Alfa Romeo 166. Let's start by disassembling and removing the rear wheel, unscrewing the fixing bolts. Next, we will have to unscrew and remove the bolts that secure the brake caliper to the disc, and then move it away slightly. Once this is done, we will have to push back the pistons, using a slotted screwdriver as a lever, and then move the brake caliper completely. At this point, we will have to disengage and remove the rear brake pads, and the disassembly will be complete. To fit the new pads, we will have to follow these instructions in reverse, and the replacement will be finished.
