Alfa Romeo 166 - Video tutorial
Model: Alfa Romeo 166
MK 1
- Years 1998-2007 In order to replace the timing belt of the Alfa Romeo 166 you need to access the engine compartment and loosen the belt tensioner using a pneumatic gun or a socket wrench: the belt and therefore the belt tensioner are located on the side of the engine. When the belt tensioner has been loosened it will be possible to remove the belt. The new belt will have to be inserted starting from the pulley that is found further down: once inserted in all the other pulleys, it will be necessary to tighten the belt by tightening the belt tensioner pulley. At the end it will be possible to close the engine compartment and check the correct functioning of the belt.
