Replacing the Timing Belt on an Alfa Romeo 166

Has the timing belt on your Alfa Romeo 166 become old and therefore needs to be removed? Here’s how to remove the belts. Remove the front wheel and the right wheel arch liner. Once these operations are completed, remove the plastic covers of the belts. Using a suitable spanner, loosen the second tensioner and slide the belt out of its seat. After fitting the new belt, use the spanner to install the tensioner roller, tension it until the correct belt tension is achieved (fit both belts). Refit the plastic covers and the front wheel. Test the operation of the Alfa 166.
