Operation: How to replace the windshield of the Alfa Romeo 147

To change the windshield of the Alfa Romeo 147 you must contact an authorized center, which will carry out this procedure, first of all we find the glass suitable for the car, place it on a special support, prepare it by cleaning it with a specific detergent, surround it in the upper part of the aesthetic outer sheath, and we glue the rearview mirror and the suction cups to move the windshield. We pass on the car, where we go to disassemble the wiper arms and the mask under the windshield, remove the outer sheath by cutting it with a cutter, with a special wire we pass it through the entire perimeter of the glass to detach it, with a special tool we remove the previous adhesive and clean the surface where the glass goes. Once the body has been prepared we have to pass an activator (to make the glue do its job well), wet a paper towel with the activator and spread it on the edge of the glass and on the car. Now we can spread the glue on the glass, take the glass and place it on the car, also attaching with adhesive tape. Finally we can reassemble the wiper arms and the mask under the windshield. The car can be used one hour after the glass has been placed.

Handbrake adjustment on Ford Ecosport

First remove the plastic profile at the base of the gear lever. To do this, slightly widen the side edges and carefully lift it to release it. There is no need to remove it completely, just move it forward to avoid bother. Now remove the plastic center console around the handbrake by first working from the rear to release it and lifting it until the brake lever passes. Also in this case it is not necessary to remove it completely but, paying attention to the connected cables, it can be stowed in front of the passenger seat. At this point we notice that at the base of the handbrake lever, on the front, we find a nut. By acting on it, with a 10 wrench, we can adjust the brake force, increasing it by turning the nut clockwise, or decreasing it by turning it counterclockwise. Once adjusted, the center console can be repositioned first, pressing lightly to engage it, and then the profile of the gearbox base.
