To replace the gearbox oil on the Alfa Romeo 166, lift the car to access the components underneath the engine bay. Here, you will locate the gearbox and be able to loosen the drain plug of the reservoir containing the gearbox oil. After removing the plug, collect all the used oil in a container; once all the oil has drained out, top up through the same vent by inserting the new oil into the reservoir using a pump.
