Warm up the engine by starting the bike for a few minutes, so the oil heats up and becomes less viscous. Remove the lower cover of the oil sump and unscrew the bolt related to the lower drain hole. Not much oil will come out, as this model does not have the classic oil sump but an external reservoir from which the engine draws the lubricant. Accessing this reservoir may be a bit more challenging due to the position of the drain plug. Collect the used oil from both. Close both holes and refill with new lubricant through the upper hole, as shown in the video: use about 2 litres of 5W-40 lubricant.

To dismantle the TM Racing KZ R1 engine, first remove the block from its housing by unscrewing the screws that secure it to the supports and disconnecting all hoses and connectors attached to it. Once the engine block is freed, unscrew the screws securing the cylinder at the top of the block.
