Let's see how to reset the service light on an Audi A3 P8: turn on the instrument panel without starting the engine, then press the small button located on the right side near the rev counter. Pressing it once will display the word "service" or the maintenance interval on the screen. On the left side of the panel, near the speedometer, there is another button: pull it towards you and hold it for about 5 seconds, then release it. Pull it again (pressing it briefly afterwards). At this point, the service light should be reset. Turn off the ignition and start the engine to verify.
