Replace the battery in the key / remote control of the Audi TT

Model: Audi Tt 8J, MK 2 - Years 2006-2014
Part: Key

To replace the battery of the Audi TT key / remote control, there are a few simple steps to perform. Let's see what they are: first of all, let's extract the real key (metal) from its housing by rotating it around its pin. Now, inside its vacated seat, we can see a small recess. We can insert a small tool into it (a pen, as we can see in the video images, or a screwdriver) and push towards the small lid, with the symbol of the car manufacturer, until the lid itself releases from its position. At this point, we also take a kitchen knife and pry the same lid, however, on the side of the ring to attach the key ring. The cover, removed in this way, allows the removal of the battery which is located on the inside. After replacing the old battery with the new one, we can proceed to reassemble everything and that's it!

How to Replace the Key Battery of the Renault Clio

This operation is very simple and will only take a few minutes. First, divide the two parts of the key by lifting them with a flathead screwdriver at the four clips near the metal key, sliding the upper flap upwards to separate them. This will give you access to the battery located above the key's circuit board. Remove it to make space for the new battery, ensuring you install it in the correct orientation. To reassemble, simply reverse the steps described above.
