Before proceeding, obtain the control unit kit for the vehicle in question. Open the engine hood and access the installed control unit. Remove the original connector of the original ECU with the aid of a tool. Connect one end of the Y-cable, supplied with the kit, to the control unit and the other end to the connector just disconnected. After connecting the new additional control unit to the third connector of the kit harness, place the new control unit in a suitable position, ie away from intense heat sources, and secure it with plastic clamps. Make the electrical power connections directly to the battery.
