Fit roof bars on an Audi A3? Here’s how to install them. Fit the bar kit on cars without roof rails. Measure the bars according to the width of the car. Position the brackets at both ends of the doors on the car's original roof rails. Once the width of the anchoring brackets is adjusted, tighten the pins with the butterfly bolt (if a lock is present) until they are fully secured to the roof rails of the car. Fit the end caps on the sides of the bars (with or without a key). Use the bars to load packages and other items. Remove the bars after use.
