How to Remove the Alternator from an Audi A3

Today, you will learn how to remove the alternator from a second generation Audi A3. First, open and lift the bonnet. Remove the plastic cover from the battery and disconnect the terminals. Next, take off the plastic engine cover. Depending on the alternator's position, you may need to remove the front bumper for better access. Now, remove the drive belt by loosening the tensioner. Once you reach the alternator, unscrew its mounting bolts and disconnect the electrical connector to remove it, as shown in the video!
