How to Remove the Alternator from an Audi A3

Model: Audi A3 MK 2, 8P - Years 2003-2013

Before you can start, you must open the front bonnet. Begin by removing the entire air filter assembly by unscrewing the screws that secure it and removing the associated hoses. Once this is done, you also need to remove the upper engine cover. At this point, loosen the tensioner using a 16 mm spanner. After that, remove the bolts securing the alternator using a 13 mm spanner. Once these bolts are removed, you can easily take out the alternator. When you complete this last step, you will have successfully finished the disassembly.
