Replacing the External Rear-View Mirror on Audi A3

Using the appropriate mirror adjustment buttons, turn the affected rear-view mirror fully towards the vehicle, allowing you to insert your fingers (or a plastic wedge) behind the outer part and remove it without damaging the fittings. Disconnect the rear heating wires, and you're done.

If you only need to replace the glass, you already know how to do it, but if you need to remove the cover, the video shows the entire procedure, starting with the removal of the adjustment motor. To install the mirror, simply reconnect the wires and push it into place until it clicks.
