How do you replace the external rearview mirror of the Audi A3?

It will be possible to replace the external rearview mirror of the Audi A3 by prying with an object to detach the triangular internal trim panel at the top of the door panel: once it has been removed, the underlying screws can be located and loosened. It will then be possible to disconnect the connectors located inside so that the mirror can be completely removed; after removal, the new mirror can be inserted.
