How do you replace the interior rearview mirror of the Audi A3?

To replace the interior rearview mirror of the Audi A3, you need to pry with an object in order to detach the internal fastening clips that hold the mirror to its housing: once it has been detached from its seat, you can disconnect the underlying connector attached to the mirror. Once this is also disconnected, you can completely remove the mirror from its seat, inserting the new replacement piece: this must be connected to the connector and secured in its seat with the appropriate clips.
