You will need a flathead screwdriver and, of course, a replacement battery, model CR2032, 3V. To open the remote, start by extracting the key by pressing the small button. There is a slot on the metal ring; insert the screwdriver into it and lever to unclip the rear cover.

Once loosened, fully open it with your hands, and you will have the battery ready to be replaced, ensuring the correct polarity.
