To replace the key fob battery for the Audi A4, press the button located on the side of the chrome area; this will allow you to slide the key out of its housing. After the key is removed, you can pry inside its housing to extract the tray containing the battery. The battery can then be replaced with a new replacement part: the tray can then be inserted back into its housing. After inserting the tray, you can also insert the key.
