Replacing Front Brake Pads

Model: Audi Tt 8N, MK 1 - Years 1998-2006
Part: Brake pads

Once you lift the vehicle on appropriate jack stands, remove the front wheel and check the wear on both the rotors and the pads. Then, remove the brake caliper by first disconnecting the retaining spring for the pads and unscrewing the caliper mounting bolts. Pull out the old pads and also remove the caliper bracket and the rotor mounting bolt. Take off the old rotor, clean the corresponding seat on the hub, and apply the new rotor. Next, install the caliper bracket, push back the caliper piston, insert the new pads, and reattach the caliper, repositioning the retaining spring.
