How to Replace the Stabilizer Bar Links on an Audi A4 B8

To change the stabilizer bar links on an Audi A4 B8, first, remove the bolts from the front wheel, then take it off and lift the vehicle, securely placing it on a jack stand. Clean the stabilizer bar mounting points with a wire brush, then spray some WD-40. Unscrew the fastening nut that connects the stabilizer bar link to the shock absorber fork, then unscrew the fasteners that connect the stabilizer bar link to the bar itself. Remove the transverse stabilizer brace. While you're at it, inspect the stabilizer support bushings. Replace them if necessary. Next, clean the mounting seats of the stabilizer bar link with a wire brush and WD-40. Now you're ready to install the new bar; tighten the fasteners, and also tighten the fastener that connects the stabilizer bar link to the shock absorber fork, then those that connect the stabilizer bar link to the bar itself. A nice spray of WD-40 is just what you need now. Spray some copper grease on the hub and then clean the brake rotor with brake cleaner. After a few minutes, you can reattach the wheel. Job done.
