Let’s see how to install puddle lights on the front doors of an Audi A3: they are called puddle lights because when you open the door, these lights, installed at the bottom of the door, allow you to see any puddles under the door and avoid stepping in them when exiting the vehicle.

The Audi A3 does not come with them but has the provision for installation.

First, remove the door panels and make the hole where the provisions are. In the video, they install lights that project the Audi logo onto the ground. There are also original Audi lights available, but they cost £124.22. If you settle for non-original ones, you can find them everywhere at lower prices.

A typical price is: E-Bay code 1672148868091 costs £28.00 + £5.00 for delivery. Fit the light into its hole (which we will have prepared in the meantime).

The video indicates that, lacking the provision, we will need to connect the positive wiring connector to "alpine 16", while the negative goes to "alpine 5" with a jumper. Now do the same for the other door.

Refit the door trim and the job is done.
