To remove the steering wheel controls on the Audi A3, you must first remove the steering wheel from its housing. To do this, you will need to rotate it to the right and left, so that the screws on the back loosen. This will allow you to remove the airbag by disconnecting the connectors on the back, and then you can loosen the central nut that secures the steering wheel. Once you have removed the steering wheel, you can pry under the side buttons of the steering wheel controls to lift them up and disconnect the connectors. This will allow you to replace the components and install the steering wheel.
