How do you replace the external rearview mirror of the Audi A6?

In order to replace the external rearview mirror of the Audi A6, you need to remove the door panel so that you can access the mounting screws of the mirror. To remove the panel, you need to slide off the power window switch panel and disconnect the underlying connector. By releasing the internal fastening clips, you will be able to remove the panel and disconnect the connectors connected to the mirror. At this point, by unscrewing the internal mounting screws, you will be able to remove the piece and replace it with a new one, reassembling all the previously removed components.
