To replace the spark plugs in an Audi A3, open the bonnet to remove the plastic cover from the top of the engine block. Once this is removed, you can pull the ignition coils out of their housing to access the spark plugs underneath.

Remove the old spark plugs using a spark plug socket; after the old plugs are removed, insert the new ones, reposition the coils, and cover the engine block with its plastic panel.
