The procedure for replacing the battery in the key fob of an Audi A3 requires a few simple steps. First, extract the metal key from inside the fob: to do this, press the small button on the back of the casing and pull the key outwards.

Next, press the tab that protrudes from the fob and remove the battery compartment. Finally, replace the battery with the exact model, which is a flat CR 2032 battery rated at 3V.
