Replacing the battery in the key fob of an Audi A3 is a simple and quick operation. Take the key fob and first press the button located near the upper corner of the casing to release the key inside. Now take a flat-head screwdriver and insert the tip into the central slot on the back of the fob; leverage with the screwdriver to separate the battery compartment from the rest of the fob. Open the battery compartment cover and proceed to replace the battery. The required battery model is a flat CR 2032 3V.
