Operation: Replace the outside mirror positioning knob.

The small knob for adjusting the position of the outside rearview mirror is located in the door panel. First of all it is necessary to disassemble the panel. With a special tool, we extract the silver band placed above the panel. Unscrew the upper screws holding the panel. Under the handle, we find another small cover and, having removed this too, we unscrew the 2 screws that we find. Finally we unscrew the last screw located at the bottom of the panel. Now we can remove the panel by detaching it from the door with a special tool and lifting it to disengage it. Once disconnected we have to disconnect the lock cable. Unplug the power cord from the door and casing. Now remove the convex plastic cover from the internal panel with the special tool to unscrew the screws. Lift the armrest off the panel. Identify the knob that we need to replace and remove it, gently, from its housing with a screwdriver. For the replacement we have to do nothing but the same operations in reverse. The car is an Audi A4.
