How to Remove the Handle from an Audi A4 B9

Let's see how to remove the handle from an Audi A4 B9: first, remove the cover (the painted part), then detach the actual handle. Open the door and observe the end of the handle (the part that fits into the door edge), where there is a small rectangular cap. Pry it off with a flathead screwdriver. You will find a T20 screw; keep the handle in the open position and detach the clips holding the painted cover. The technique is to push the handle forward while simultaneously pushing the cover panel backward. Disconnect the electrical components, and now you can remove the handle: under the cover, you will see two screws that secure the handle to the door. Loosen them; they will not come out completely but will unscrew enough to free the handle. Now the handle should come out of its housing.
