How to Reset the MMI System on an Audi A3?

To reset the MMI system on an Audi A3, switch on the instrument cluster so you can operate the central display on the dashboard using the touchscreen controls: select "System maintenance" and then "Restore factory settings". This will open a screen with a confirmation button located at the bottom centre: selecting this confirmation button will reset the system to factory settings. Once the operation is complete, you can completely switch off the instrument cluster.
