The suspension arm connects the frame to the struts, but if it bends due to an impact, wears out, or breaks, it will be necessary to replace it, as a defective arm can lead to a dangerous loss of vehicle control. This is not a very complicated job, and if you can do it yourself, you will save a good amount of money.

Position the car on a completely flat surface and engage a gear. Take the jack and place it under the axle that needs replacement, then slowly raise the car. You will need to detach the stabilizer link from the arm without making sudden movements.

Once the joint is removed, the suspension arm will be right in front of you.
