Changing the pump of your car is an operation that can be slightly complicated but with a little patience and good will it can be done. Each step necessary to disassemble the pump requires the utmost care to avoid damaging parts of the car. The pump is located in the front of the vehicle, in the front hood. It is necessary to remove the casing that blocks the belt by unscrewing the bolts. Then you have to remove the toothed flywheel and, finally, the bearing that tightens the belt. At this point the pump can be extracted by removing the screws present. Before replacing the pump with a new one, it is advisable to clean the engine block from residues.

How to open the bonnet of the Volkswagen Polo

Let's see in this short and simple guide the instructions that will allow us to open the bonnet of the Volkswagen Polo. First of all we open the front door, on the driver's side, and start pulling the opening lever of the engine hood, in order to open the lock; then let's move to the front of the vehicle and unhook the tab that we find on the central part, above the manufacturer's emblem, as shown in the video.
