Replacing the Water Pump

The water pump should be replaced when it is not functioning properly because if it leaks, the cooling system will not work well and can cause the engine to overheat and fail. To replace the water pump, the following guide shows you how to work under the vehicle. Position it on a support and remove the affected wheel. Then completely drain the cooling system and proceed to remove the accessory belt and the timing belt. Next, remove the water pump and let the coolant drain into the catch basin until it is exhausted. Clean the surface where you worked and connect the new pump.
