First, warm up the bike for a couple of minutes. This will make the oil less viscous and more fluid, speeding up the draining process. Do not overheat the engine to avoid burns later. Collect the used oil in a container, first removing the upper filler cap (both the filler and drain holes must be opened to prevent a vacuum and facilitate the outflow of the lubricant). Now open the lower hole so that the oil drains into the container, then close the drain and fill the engine oil compartment with a 10W-40 lubricant. Refit the upper cap.

How to replace the motor oil in the KTM Duke 250?

In this tutorial we can see how to replace the engine oil in the KTM Duke 250, an extremely simple and quick operation. First of all, make sure that the engine is sufficiently cold, then place a container underneath it and open the cap of the fill hole. Next, locate the drain hole bolt, unscrew it using a socket wrench and remove the secondary filter, which should be cleaned and reinserted. At this point, open the main filter housing, insert the replacement, reassemble everything and pour the new oil through the appropriate hole.
