This guide shows how to reset the scheduled maintenance light on a BMW S1000RR. To perform this maintenance, you will need a diagnostic device with an OBD connector (OBDLink), the MotoScan software, and a cable with an OBD-10pin connector. With the instrument panel on, the first step is to connect the adapter cable to the socket on the motorcycle; then connect the OBDLink to the newly installed cable. Connect your mobile phone via Bluetooth to the OBDLink network. Before performing any operations, check for firmware updates for the OBDLink. From the MotoScan application, you can reset the service light; it is recommended to purchase the pro version of the application. Select the motorcycle model; select the tab related to the instrument cluster and wait for the procedure to complete; clicking on the selected tab again will show the service reset button. From this page, you can modify some parameters related to the warning light. After pressing the reset button, the warning light will turn off on the instrument panel. At this point, you can turn off the engine and disconnect the device. Check the success of the operation by turning the instrument panel back on.
