Before replacing the cardan oil in our BMW R 1200, we arrange our motorcycle in a stable and safe way which, in this case, means that we place it on the stand. This must be done to safeguard the operator's safety and should be done whenever a maintenance operation on the machine or motorcycle is to be started. First of all, let's disassemble the rear wheel splash guard. At this point, we need to unscrew the two bolts that plug the oil inlet holes and the bleed hole respectively (after placing a pan underneath). The two holes are positioned in the element that covers the rear wheel pin. After having drained all the old oil and cleaned up, well, the bolts, close the bleed hole and pour 170-200 ml of new oil into the opening.

In order to replace the rear brake pads of the Benelli TRK 502 it is necessary to loosen the bolts that fix the caliper, so that it can be detached from the relative disc of the rear wheel. Once the caliper has been removed, it will be possible to go and extract the old pads from the inside of the caliper so that the new spare parts can be inserted. Once the new pads have been inserted inside the caliper, it will be necessary to position the latter on its disc, fixing it with the bolts that were previously removed.
