In order to change the oil on the BMW R 1200 gs it is necessary to place the motorcycle on the stand, first of all remove the carters that make up the right side bodywork. When removing the side casing, be careful to remove the air temperature sensor. Once the crankcase has been removed, locate the oil filler cap located above the footrest and unscrew the cap. Then locate the oil drain plug located just above the stand pin. Using a suitable wrench, loosen the cap by first taking a container to collect the used oil. Wait a few minutes for all the oil to drain out and screw the cap back on. Then take the tank of suitable oil to fill the system using the extractable tube supplied on the tank. Finally, tighten the cap again and reassemble all the bodywork components backwards.

How do you replace the exhaust pipe of the KTM Duke 390?

The exhaust pipe of the KTM Duke 390 can be replaced by loosening the screw that locks the connecting clamp, which connects the exhaust pipe to the remaining part of the exhaust duct. Then it will be possible to unscrew the bolt that fixes the exhaust pipe to its support at the back, so that it is completely released. When the piece is no longer constrained, it will be possible to remove it from its housing so that the new one can be inserted; the exhaust pipe must then be connected to the remaining part of the manifold with the corresponding clamp and fixed to the support at the back.
