To replace the air filter on the BMW K1600 GTL, loosen the screws that secure the side panels near the fuel tank: once these are completely detached, you will be able to locate the filter box underneath. This can now be removed from its housing by unscrewing the screws and also removing the air filter inside; after removal, insert the new air filter into its housing, securing everything with the screws and reinstalling the side panels.
