In order to deactivate the passenger airbag of the BMW I3, you need to extract the key from inside the remote control, so that it can be used to deactivate the airbag: at this point you will need to open the front passenger door in order to locate a lock on the side of the dashboard. Here you will find a lock, which must be moved from ON to OFF using the key: this will allow you to deactivate the airbag as indicated by the specific light. To reactivate it, simply move the side lock back to ON.
