Resetting the service light on a BMW F30 is necessary whenever you perform an oil change or service on your own without going to a shop. Turn on the ignition and enter the maintenance menu by holding the designated button for about 10 seconds. To navigate through the menu and switch between options, press this button once without holding it down. Select the option you want and hold the button for 3 seconds until the "reset" option appears, then press for another 3 seconds to confirm. The service light has now been successfully reset.
