Let's see how to reset the service light on a BMW 3 Series F30/F31: turn on the ignition, and press the BC button on the steering column, which is used for navigation. Use the round iDrive button on the center console (or the arrow keys on the steering wheel, depending on the trim) and navigate through the menu until you find the "service" option.

Select "vehicle info" or "maintenance status" where you will find the option: "engine oil change"; from here select "engine oil change". It will ask you "reset?" Confirm the selection and a confirmation message like "oil service reset" will appear.
